Arsenal show interest in two Serie A midfielders

The Gunners are very interested in Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The English club are looking to open negotiations using the rapport between newly-appointed head coach Unai Emery and Roma’s sporting director Monchi, who worked together at Sevilla. Arsenal would like to sign the Italian without paying his release clause, while Juventus have also expressed interest in the 21-year-old.

Arsenal have also expressed an interest in Sampdoria midfielder Dennis Praet.

The club from London have already had concrete discussions with the Belgian’s agent and they could potentially pay his €25 million release clause. Di Marzio noted that Praet has also been followed by Juventus, Inter, Roma, and Napoli but none of them have yet to accelerate any negotiations.

With a new era underway, Arsenal are looking to Italy on the transfer market.
