Höwedes’ injury woes continue as he was ruled out of today’s clash against Atalanta, owing to a muscle injury.
The defender suffered a strain to his right-thigh adductor, while training on Monday, the club has confirmed.
Höwedes joined the club from Schalke on loan last summer but has made just one single appearance.
This is his third muscle-related injury, this season. No official return date was provided.
