Exclusive | Chievo in negotiations for goalkeeper Vassilis Barkas

AEK Athens Sporting Director Vladimir Matijasevic is in negotiations to sell his goalkeeper Vassilis Barkas – currently speaking to Bournemouth and Chievo Verona, according to sources contacted by Get Italian Football News.

Chievo’s current starting keeper is Stefano Sorrentino, who is now 39-years-old. Barkas could be a long-term replacement at the ripe age of 24.

Having played for AEK Athens the last two season, Barkas is considered one of the brightest Greek football products. He received his first call-up to the Greek national team and earned his first two caps in friendlies against Egypt and Switzerland.
