Napoli have confirmed that defender Vlad Chiricheș has suffered a first-degree thigh injury.
The incident occurred in training, prior to the match against Lazio, and he was duly replaced by Lorenzo Tonelli.
A statement on the club’s website read:
“The exams showed a first degree muscle distraction to the left femoral biceps.”
No recovery time has been yet provided, but according to Sky Sport Italia, the defender could be sidelined for around three weeks.
