Napoli initiate contacts for Handanovic

With Pepe Reina’s exit confirmed, Napoli are currently searching for a starting goalkeeper.

With the negotiations for Rui Patricio and Bernd Leno fading, Napoli may find their goalkeeper in Italy.

Napoli sporting director Cristiano Guintoli has already contacted Inter regarding goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, according to Corriere della Sera.

It all depends on the figures. For a price of €25-30 million, the 34-year-old Serbian could leave the Nerazzurri to help ease the Financial Fair Play deadline.

But Inter and Spalletti are wary of losing an important player after returning to the Champions League.

It is yet to be seen if there will be serious, concrete negotiations to bring Handanovic to Napoli.
