Napoli look to bolster midfield

With the Ancelotti era underway, Napoli are looking to improve their squad.

Yesterday, Gianluca Di Marzio reported the Partenopei are interested in Leandro Paredes and have already made the first contacts with Zenit.

Napoli are willing to pay a base fee of €30 million, up to a maximum amount of €35 million for Paredes, according to Di Marzio. No contact has yet been made with the player’s agents, however, and the willingness of Paredes to join Napoli and agreement on a contract has not been determined yet.

Di Marzio also reports that Napoli are interested in Real Betis midfielder Fabian Ruiz and have made an inquiry to the Spanish club.

The Spanish midfielder recently signed a contract extension but he has a release clause of €30 million. While Napoli are an option, right now the Azzurri are behind Atletico Madrid and Roma in the race for Fabian Ruiz.
