Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Maurizio Sarri’s three-year stint at Napoli will come to an end.
After meeting with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis, both parties have decided to move forward in another direction. However, it remains to be seen on what terms Sarri will leave his position at Napoli.
Sarri has yet to give his response to Zenit St. Petersburg’s offer. The Russian club are convinced they want to hire the Italian after offering him an annual salary of €4 million plus bonuses and they will invite Sarri to come visit their facilities.
In the meantime, De Laurentiis has wasted no time to sort out the future of his club.
After a positive meeting with Carlo Ancelotti yesterday, the parties are looking to work out the final details. Di Marzio says the official announcement is now expected regarding Ancelotti’s signature of a deal that seems done.
