Chelsea have announced the signing of Jorginho from Napoli for an undisclosed fee.
The Italian midfielder has signed a five-year contract and will wear the number 5 jersey.
Jorginho joined Napoli in 2014 from Hellas Verona and has spent his entire playing career in Italy.
Chelsea seem to have swooped in as Jorginho was reportedly set to join Manchester City for months.
“I am absolutely ecstatic to be here at Chelsea. It is not easy to become part of such a big team so I am very, very happy,” Jorginho said. “I am excited to play in such an intense league, for a team that gives everything to play and win.’
