Official | SPAL complete trio of signings

SPAL have completed the signing of goalkeeper Vanja Milinković-Savić, midfielder Mattia Valoti, and goalkeeper Maurice Gomis.

Milinković-Savić joins on a season-long loan from Torino. He made four appearances for the club last season, including three in the Coppa Italia and registered one clean sheet.

The 21-year-old is the brother of Lazio midfielder, Sergej Milinković-Savić, and was part of the Serbia U-20 squad that won the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Mattia Valoti joins SPAL on a season-long from Hellas Verona with an obligation to buy ‘under certain conditions’, as specified by the club’s official website. The conditions are expected to be related to the club’s league status. The 24-year-old, who can both play as a central and as an attacking midfielder, made 28 appearances for the Gialloblu last season and scored three goals, as they were relegated to Serie B.

Mattia is the son of former SPAL midfielder and current sporting director of Palermo, Aladino Valoti. He spent the 1987/88 season with the Biancazzurri, making 31 appearances and scoring three goals.

SPAL have also signed young goalkeeper, Maurice Gomis, on a free transfer. The 20-year-old spent the last season at Serie D side, Nocerina. He made 28 appearances for the club, keeping a staggering 15 clean sheets and received the award for the best goalkeeper in the division.

Maurice is the younger brother of fellow SPAL and Senegal goalkeeper, Alfred Gomis, who joined the Biancazzurri on a permanent basis after spending the last season on loan.

Maurice has signed a three-year contract.
