Olympic Marseille are in talks to sign Mario Balotelli, his agent Mino Raiola has confirmed.
“I have good relations with OM,” Raiola told RMC Sport. “I know their director of sport (Andoni Zubizarreta) and the President (Jacques-Henri Eyraud) very well. We’ll see. It’s still early days. Balotelli is a player who generates emotion and excitement. That goes very well with the Marseille mentality. The Marseillais are like that, they are hot [passionate]. Mario is hot. We will see [what happens].”
Balotelli’s contract with Nice expires at the end of this month. However, there is an agreement in his contract that will see the club earn €10 million in any potential deal.
According to the RMC Sport, no financial agreement has been reached yet.
