Reflecting on his role in Manchester City’s 2011/12 Premier League title win, Micah Richards revealed that Mario Balotelli set off fireworks in the defender’s home during that campaign shortly before doing the same thing in his own bathroom.
“Mario is funny and a great lad,” Richards told Sport Bible. “He actually came to my house a couple of weeks before the fireworks incident and he set some off in my house.
I was like ‘you know you can’t do this? What’s going through your mind?’ He just thinks everything is funny, that’s why I like him so much. He doesn’t take life too seriously.”
