Fonseca close to joining Roma

Paulo Fonseca has agreed terms with Roma on a three-year contract after a meeting in Madrid, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

Agents of the Portuguese manager are now looking for an exit strategy from Shakhtar Donetsk so Roma can avoid paying the €5 million release clause.

Roma are also keeping in contact with Roberto De Zerbi, who will meet with the Sassuolo board soon to discuss his future.

At the moment, Fonseca looks likely to become the new manager of Roma.
