Inter loanee Gabriel Barbosa had a successful return spell to Santos scoring 18 goals in 35 matches. Now his future is up in the air, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
West Ham are interested in the Brazilian but the 22-year-old would need to receive a work permit to play in the Premier League. Even if he does obtain a work permit, it would depend on Gabigol’s will to play in England under Manuel Pellegrini.
Another option would be to join a Brazilian club, which seems more likely at the moment.
Gabigol’s move to Inter did not pan out but he is set to begin a new chapter in his career this January.
West Ham have already contacted Inter about Gabigol, who has been on loan at Santos, and discussions for the Brazilian are expected to intensify, according to @DiMarzio.
