AC Milan have asked Napoli about potentially signing Amadou Diawara, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Rossoneri inquired about signing Diawara on loan with the option to buy but Napoli rejected the idea.
It is yet to be seen if Milan will try to work out a deal with a different formula or abandon attempts of signing the 21-year-old midfielder.
Di Marzio also added that Milan are looking to sign a winger in January, with Yannick Carrasco still the top target.
