After having fired Marco Giampaolo on Tuesday evening, AC Milan have announced his replacement as former Fiorentina boss Stefano Pioli.
AC Milan announces the appointment with immediate effect of Mr Stefano Pioli as the new coach of the First Team, read a statement on the club’s official website. “The Club wishes Stefano and his coaching staff all the best in their work.”
Fans of the Rossoneri have reacted angrily to the appointment, with the hashtag #PioliOut trending on Twitter before the news had even been made official.
The Coach has never won any major honours in his career which has included time at Palermo, Lazio, Bologna, Fiorentina and an ill-fated spell in charge of Milan’s cross-city rivals Inter.
