Napoli have sacked Coach Carlo Ancelotti. The news was communicated via an official statement which reads as follows:
“SSC Napoli has decided to revoke the role of first team coach from Mr Carlo Ancelotti.
“The rapport of friendship, admiration and reciprocal respect between the club, its President and Carlo Ancelotti remain intact.”
The Partenopei beat Genk 4-0 on Tuesday evening in order to reach the knockout stages of the Champions League, however league form has been extremely poor this season.
Without a domestic win since October 19, the side have managed just five total victories in the opening 15 matches this term.
Ancelotti originally replaced Maurizio Sarri at Napoli, back in July 2018.
