Eusebio Di Francesco has signed a three-year contract to become the new head coach of Sampdoria.
Sampdoria chose the former Roma player and manager to replace Marco Giampaolo, who joined AC Milan.
Di Francesco made a name for himself at Sassuolo by guiding them to promotion to Serie A and making them a top-flight mainstay.
The 49-year-old only last a year and a half at AS Roma after being sacked in March.
Di Francesco begins a new adventure in Genoa with Sampdoria.
