With AC Milan having scored just 11 times in their 13 Serie A matches so far, it is clear they need to improve the attack, but director Frederic Massara was quick to downplay the suggestion they will sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Now a free agent after his contract with LA Galaxy expired, the Sweden international has been linked with a return to the Rossoneri but, speaking ahead of Saturday’s clash wth Napoli, the club official was noncommital.
“Ibrahimovic is a great champion who has written important pages in the Milan history books,” Massara told Sky Italia. “When his name is accosted to Milan, it becomes an irresistible suggestion, but it remains only an idea. When the transfer window opens, then we’ll see with the coach what needs to be done.”
