Aaron Ramsey on the return of Serie A: “We’re returning to a new normality, and it’s only right that we start again as well.”

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey spoke about the decision to resume this season’s Serie A season from June 20 and his experience in quarantine in Italy.

“I’m doing well, we’ve started to train individually and at the start it was strange but very safe for everyone, respecting the regulations. Then we were able to train all together and it was great, we’ve gone back to doing what we love.”

“[Italy] was one of the first countries to go into lockdown. I decided to stay here – it was hard to stay inside, to spend the time in the house. But thankfully I was with my family and I’ve spent a lot of time with my wife and children, something which usually we can’t do because of games. I’ve enjoyed that opportunity.”

“I’m really happy about the news that we’re starting again. I think in general Italy has tried to respond to the situation as best as possible, seeing as it’s been one of the worst-hit countries. I think that all of the steps taken have been done well and that now, slowly, things are starting up again. We’re returning to a new normality, and it’s only right that we start again as well.”
