Sky Sport report today that Atalanta are closing in on the signing of Danish defender Joakim Mæhle from Belgian side Genk. A transfer fee amounting to €10m has been offered for the 23-year-old, who had also been a target for La Dea last summer.
The Danish international would arrive as a reinforcement at right-back, as a back-up to Hans Hateboer. The two clubs have enjoyed a fruitful relationship over the last few years, with Timothy Castagne and Ruslan Malinovskyi also making the switch from the Jupiler League team to Bergamo.
