Conte underlines importance of Sampdoria clash: “Our margin of error is smaller than for those ahead of us.”

In his press conference ahead of tomorrow evening’s match against Claudio Ranieri’s Sampdoria, Antonio Conte was keen to underline the importance of the fixture, with his side still nine points adrift of the top of the table;

“We’ve used this period to work on some tactical aspects, so that we can improve and have different solutions. I think that Christian Eriksen has completely settled in now, I think he’s immersed in our reality. We will seek to make the most out of all the characteristics of the players in our squad. I’m happy with the work that we’ve done.”

“Winning the game would mean coming back to within six points.with twelve games of the season left. We’ve worked hard, from a tactical and physical point of view, so I have some good expectations, even if we have to wait and see what happens on the pitch. We have to play this final part of the season at the highest level, without putting any limits on ourselves. Our margin of error for us smaller than for those ahead of us, but the willingness and passion for us is there.”
