Dries Mertens set to join Inter as agreement reached over two-year contract

Multiple outlets in Italy, including La Repubblica and Corriere dello Sport, have reported today that Napoli forward Dries Mertens is on the verge of joining Inter, with his contract expiring in June.

The Belgian will reportedly sign a contract of two years with the Nerazzuri, despite  efforts made by Napoli to convince their all-time top scorer to stay. The relevant documents have been exchanged between the player’s entourage and the club in the last few days, with only the details regarding the signing-on fee left to establish.
