Henrikh Mkhitaryan speaks on his future: “Obviously it would be great to stay here.”

In an interview given to the Italian embassy in Armenia, transcribed in Corriere dello Sport, Roma’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan touched on his impressions on arriving in the capital and his future plans.

“From the first day I arrived in Rome I felt good, with the squad, the city, everything was fantastic. Obviously it would be great to stay here. The main objective would be to reach the Champions League, and obviously to play and win titles.”

“I’m very happy to be here, playing in Italy with these supporters is incredible. I’d heard a lot about how fans were crazy here, in the positive sense of the word, but I couldn’t have imagined they’d be like this.”

“I’ve already achieved a lot, but for me that’s in the past. I want more next year, I don’t have many years left in my career but I’m sure that I’m doing my best to reach my objectives. At the end of your career people will think about what you’ve done for the teams, what you’ve won, how you’ve played… So for me it’s important to leave a positive memory, to win something, a title, do something good for the team.”
