Interviewed today by Sky Sport Italia, Inter Director of Sport Piero Ausilio confirmed that striker Lautaro Martínez was not for sale this summer. Ausilio stated that the Argentine had been the subject of interest from Barcelona, but that talks never began, with the clause that would have allowed for his departure to take place expiring.
“There was an approach from Barcelona for the player, but we never initiated a negotiation. There was a clause that was never triggered, and from the day it expired we’ve considered Lautaro to be off the market.”
