As decided during a federal council meeting held by the Italian FA, it has been established that the new Serie A season will begin on September 19, as reported by ANSA.
This was the starting date requested by the league authorities, which was granted by the FA in this morning’s meeting, although some clubs had been pushing for a September 26 start according to Sky Sport Italia.
The full league calendar will be released this Wednesday, while the season is set to finish on May 23, 2021.
