In a statement released tonight, Juventus have announced that Daniele Rugani has undergone tests for the Coronavirus which have come back positive. The Italian international has become the first top flight player in the country to contract the virus, with the club’s U23 squad having already been quarantined as a precautionary measure.
“Daniele Rugani has tested positive for the Coronavirus-COVID-19 and is currently showing no symptoms.”
“Juventus Football Club is putting in place at these hours isolation procedures as established by regulation, and taking count of those who have had contact with him.”
