Mario Balotelli set to be sacked by Brescia over missed training sessions

According to La Repubblica, Brescia are set to send a letter today via legal representatives to Mario Balotelli to terminate his contract, with the striker having been at the club for less than a year. The former Italian international had built up strained relations with the club management – particularly with president Cellino – over a series of missed training sessions, among other disagreements throughout the season.

With five goals in 19 games for his hometown club, Balotelli is the team’s top scorer, although this has not been enough to prevent Brescia from lying rock bottom of Serie A.
