Mario Balotelli turned away from Brescia training ground following sacking

Multiple outlets, including Gazzetta dello Sport and La Repubblica, have reported today that Mario Balotelli has been turned away from Brescia’s training ground as he arrived this morning. The striker had been sacked last week by club president Massimo Cellino for repeatedly failing to report to training in the last few weeks.

Brescia, via the club’s press office, reportedly explained that Balotelli was expected to stay home for another day due to illness, and that he is expected tomorrow morning. As the medical certificate was sent late in the evening yesterday, the club was not able to open the training ground to the striker.
