Speaking to Sky Sport Italia ahead of the 6-0 rout of Genoa this afternoon, Napoli director of sport Cristiano Giuntoli spoke about the club’s transfer dealings, in particular indicating that sought-after defender Kalidou Koulibaly would be staying in Campania.
“I think he’ll stay with us, we’re happy to keep him and we think he is too – he has another three years left on his contract.”
“We finalised the squad in January with the arrivals of Demme and Lobotka, to whom were added Rrahmani, Osimhen and Petagna – the team is complete and we are content with it.”
“[On Milik] The market is still open. Usually in the last week 80% of deals are done, so we’re still hopeful of closing an important transfer for us and for him.”
