Napoli’s Giuntoli on the upcoming transfer window: “I don’t think the Coronavirus issue will affect the price of Koulibaly, or other top players.”

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Napoli Director of Sport Cristiano Giuntoli discussed the effect that the Covid-19 pandemic could have on the prices of potential transfers in the coming window, citing in-demand defender Kalidou Koulibaly as an example.

“They say that negotiations will change, but for me this is just an excuse. I don’t think that the Coronavirus issue will affect the price of Koulibaly or other top players. Other forms of contracted will surely be appreciated, such as the loan with an obligation to buy, which helps to delay garanties and relieve the balance sheet in the short term. Football knows how to adapt quickly.”
