Gianluca Di Marzio reports tonight that Roma are close to signing Hellas Verona centre-back Marash Kumbulla.
The Albanian had long been the target of Lazio and Inter, but with Manchester United turning down the latest offer for Chris Smalling, the Giallorossi have turned to the Hellas man as a back-up option.
An offer consisting of a loan deal including an obligation to buy worth €30m is being discussed between the two clubs.
