Serie A clubs confirm intention to play out season, with UEFA decision on Euros expected tomorrow

Representatives from Serie A’s twenty clubs held a meeting today in which they unanimously expressed their willingness to play out the rest of the league season. The summit took place on the eve of tomorrow’s UEFA meeting, in which a decision is set to be taken regarding the postponing of this summer’s Euros tournament as well as its  continental club competitions.

Should Euro 2020 be cancelled, it would afford Serie A teams enough time to finish the season before the deadline set on the 30th June. Currently, fixtures in Italy are suspended until the 3rd of April as a result of the spread of COVID-19,
