Following today’s meeting between Minister for Sport Vincenzo Spadafora, head of the Italian FA Gabriele Gravina and representatives from Italy’s three professional leagues, it has been established that the league season will return on June 20.
Speaking after a meeting with Prime Minister Giuseppe ConteĀ – transcribed in Corriere dello Sport – Spadafora explained that should the league season be interrupted again, the Italian FA will proceed to a Plan B solution involving a series of playoffs to decide the Scudetto winner.
The minister went on to declare that there would be a possibility for the Coppa Italia semi-finals to be played on June 13, with the final then taking place four days later.
