Stefano Pioli ahead of Juventus clash: “We have our objective in mind, which is taking Milan back to Europe.”

In a press conference on the eve of the his team’s Coppa Italia semi-final second leg against Juventus, Milan manager Stefano Pioli insisted that his team could go toe to toe with their opponent, in their search for a European spot either via the league or the cup.

“We have our objective in mind, which is taking Milan back to Europe. There are two ways to get there, the league and the Coppa Italia. The calendar means that the first of these is the Coppa Italia, so it’s clear that we should concentrate on this.”

“It’s impossible for us to be at one hundred percent, but neither will our opponents be. Lucas (Paquetá) is among those who have been doing well.”

“We’ve played Juventus twice already this season, and I have to say they have always been difficult games for us but also for them. I have to say that given the opportunities we left the pitch with some regrets in terms of results.”

“We are kicking off level with them, we might be at a disadvantage with results but we have the quality to play our game.”
