European champions Chelsea are said to be ready to relaunch an improved offer for Inter striker Romelu Lukaku, with the Belgian now reflecting on a potential move back to Stamford Bridge.
Sky Italia have provided an update about the situation of Lukaku, some hours after it was reported that the Nerazzurri have rejected an offer of upto €100 million which included Marcos Alonso.
Sky Italia today claim that Chelsea could now be set to make another offer of about €120 million and the ‘monstrous’ offer could well force Inter into rethinking their stance about the player’s potential exit. As a result, the ball could then land in Lukaku’s court and his decision will be decisive.
When the previous bid was made, it was suggested that Belgian wasn’t interested in the move back to Chelsea but the new bid could lead to rethink from his perspective too. He could then reflect on a return to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea will certainly ensure a much higher salary than what he earns at Inter and a further improvement on the current offer could convince Inter.
