Dybala on Juventus win and celebration: “I wanted to pay homage to Platini.”

Juventus star Paulo Dybala has stated that he wanted to pay homage to Michel Platini during the celebrations of one of his goals.

Dybala grabbed a brace to help Juve pick up a 4-2 win over Zenit in Turin. The win all but guaranteed Juve’s passage through to the next round of the UEFA Champions League.

Dybala spoke to Mediaset after the game against the Russian giants and stated: “Platini? The celebration was a tribute. He is an idol for me, for football and for Juve. I wanted to pay homage to him when I joined, but that wasn’t the case against Inter. We hope to continue like this, today we have reached the first goal, but now we have to go to London to try to seal first place.”

Juve are through to the knockout stages of Europe, but they have lost the previous two league games and will face Fiorentina in their next game.
