Milan striker Olivier Giroud has talked about the Rossoneriโs dramatic comeback win over Verona in Serie A on Saturday.
Giroud was on the scoresheet, helping the Rossoneri find a route back into the game as he headed Rafael Leaoโs cross into the net to make it 2-1. Franck Kessieโs penalty and Koray Gunterโs own goal helped Milan complete the comeback at San Siro.
Giroud spoke to DAZN about the game and claimed: โIโve waited a long time for this moment.ย I missed the competition.ย In the first half we didnโt do well but the reaction was important.
โI still donโt feel 100% but I am growing and I feel better. This victory is a joy, I canโt wait to go celebrate with my teammates. In the first half there was a lack of quality, in the second half we could only do better and we succeeded.โ
After the win, Milan went to the top of the league and they remain unbeaten in the competition so far, along with Napoli.
