Giroud on Milanโ€™s win over Verona: โ€œIโ€™ve waited for a long time.โ€

Milan striker Olivier Giroud has talked about the Rossoneriโ€™s dramatic comeback win over Verona in Serie A on Saturday.

Giroud was on the scoresheet, helping the Rossoneri find a route back into the game as he headed Rafael Leaoโ€™s cross into the net to make it 2-1. Franck Kessieโ€™s penalty and Koray Gunterโ€™s own goal helped Milan complete the comeback at San Siro.

Giroud spoke to DAZN about the game and claimed: โ€œIโ€™ve waited a long time for this moment.ย I missed the competition.ย In the first half we didnโ€™t do well but the reaction was important.

โ€œI still donโ€™t feel 100% but I am growing and I feel better. This victory is a joy, I canโ€™t wait to go celebrate with my teammates. In the first half there was a lack of quality, in the second half we could only do better and we succeeded.โ€

After the win, Milan went to the top of the league and they remain unbeaten in the competition so far, along with Napoli.
