Insigne ‘saddened’ by Napoli contract offer

Napoli skipper Lorenzo Insigne has been left saddened by a contract offer from the Partenopei recently.

Il Roma have reported today that Insigne doesn’t feel wanted by the club because of the offer they have made and he feels ‘disappointed’ and ‘saddened’ by the money offered, especially considering how other players are given.

The offer is €3.5 million per season with no bonuses and the Euro 2020 winner isn’t happy at all. That is in contrast to what Dries Mertens feels about the contract that Napoli had offered to him, when he was running out of contract.

Insigne is not against the other players who are earning more but he is unhappy that the club hasn’t offered a concrete reason for the contract offer.
