Inter boss Inzaghi on Juventus draw: “The referee was two metres away.”

Inter boss Simone Inzaghi has talked about the club’s 1-1 draw against Juventus in Serie A on Sunday.

Edin Dzeko had put Inter in front in the first half, tapping home after a Hakan Calhanoglu shot had come off the post. Juventus got a controversial penalty late in the game though, as Dybala equalised from the spot. The result meant that Inter have now failed to win in their last two games in the league.

Inzaghi spoke to DAZN about the manner in which the side conceded the goal and stated: “It was the only way we could concede goals.

“We are sorry because we led the game from the beginning to the end. They are two points thrown away that do not please us. The referee is two meters away, he sees that everything is in order and is then called back. We are sorry for our fans, who accompanied us for ninety minutes in a very good match.”

Inter now have 18 points on the board and are third in the league behind Napoli and Milan.
