Inter still struggle for Perisic renewal

Inter are still said to be some way off agreeing a new deal for Ivan Perisic.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Perisic is looking for the last important contract of his career but his current wage of €5 million per season presents a problem for Inter. The club want to offer a two-year-deal of around €3.5 to €4 million, which is less than the €5 million he currently earns.

But the player wants a three-year-deal with the same salary as his current deal. This is the margin that the parties will try to cover when a meeting takes place around new year. Perisic is said to be very happy with Simone Inzaghi and hasn’t closed the door on an extension.

If Perisic does leave, Inter have identified Filip Kostic and Abner as potential replacements.
