Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has stated that the Bianconeri aren’t in need of another striker right now and he also praised Alvaro Morata.
Juan Cuadrado got a stoppage time winner for the Old Lady, as Nikola Milenkovic was sent off towards the last few minutes of the game and that handed Juve a big advantage.
Allegri spoke to DAZN after the tie and stated: “We are not missing a striker. Among other things, Alvaro played a good game tonight, he created some favorable situations. In the second half we shot more, but in the first half we had 3-4 chances where we have fallen short in the last step and the choice of the pass. We had to make better use of it.
“I’m happy with the performance, the importance of the victory gives us morale, but it must not make us absolutely lower the level of attention, on the contrary, we must increase it, because winning games it’s not easy and you have to work hard to win them.”
The win came after Juve’s losses to Verona and Sassuolo, and the win took the Bianconeri to the 8th spot in the league and they now have 18 points on the board.
