Juventus make breakthrough in Locatelli deal

Serie A giants Juventus have made an important breakthrough in a deal for Sassuolo star Manuel Locatelli.

Sky Italia have reported that in the latest meeting involving Juve and the Neroverdi, the Bianconeri came close to approaching the fee that Sassuolo want. Juve have now agreed to pay €35 million for the Italian but the finer details of the deal are yet to be ascertained fully.

Sassuolo still want the fee on an unconditional basis and the details pertaining to the obligation to buy are yet to be fully agreed. Once that is determined, the deal could be much closer.

Locatelli had won the Euros with Italy earlier this summer and despite interest from Arsenal, he is only looking to move to Juve in the current window.
