Ligue 1 side Lyon are now close to finalising a deal for Italian left-back Emerson Palmieri from Chelsea.
This comes from journalist Daniele Longo, who claims that while Emerson had opened up to a potential move to Napoli or Inter, those moves aren’t possible for him now. Lyon have made quite a concrete attempt to sign the left-back and the move could be set to be completed in the next few hours.
Lyon will finalise the last few details of the deal with Chelsea, who will continue to have Marcos Alonso and Ben Chilwell as their two left-back options.
