Napoli are now eyeing a move to sign Lille left-back Reinildo, with doubts now emerging in their moves for Liverpool defender Kostas Tsimikas and Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported about Napoli’s chase of left-backs this summer, claiming that Aurelio de Laurentiis remains in constant contact with Cristiano Guintoli, as he looks to give Luciano Spalletti another left-back option in the squad.
Since moves for Tsimikas and Emerson have failed to take off, they’re now looking to move for Reinildo at Lille, having made a loan offer with the obligation to buy him permanently. The Ligue 1 Champions want to sell the player permanently and he’s valued at €8 million. It is a figure that Napoli may yet match once Gennaro Tutino joins Parma.
Napoli are counting on the fact that the player’s contract expires next summer and Lille could lose him for free. But the French side are willing to take the risk of starting the season with him and convincing him to sign a deal later.Â
Reinildo has made his desire to move to Serie A clear, also confirming contacts with the Partenopei.Â
