Napoli skipper Insigne on new deal: “I don’t want to be distracted.”

Napoli skipper Lorenzo Insigne has talked about his future at the club, having stated that the contract rumours are a distraction for him.

Insigne’s current deal runs out in the summer of 2022 and Inter are said to be interested in the Italian too. The winger spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport about his future and he talked about his potential new deal at the Partenopei.

He claimed: “I only have one year on my contract, but I don’t want to be distracted. I want to give 100 percent, then for other matters there are the prosecutors and the president. They met and chatted. Personally I want to be focused only on this season.”

Napoli are at the top of the league currently and are the only team in the league to have won all their games so far. Insigne has scored twice in Serie A.
