Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini is set to sign a new deal with the Giallorossi despite Juventus’ interest in signing the player.
Daniele Longo has reported that a new appointment to extend Pellegrini’s deal is expected this week and the meeting will finalise his contract. His new deal will not have a release clause and his clause in the current deal was valid only till June.
He will now earn €4 million per season, with the deal expected run out in 2026. Jose Mourinho is keen to build his team around the Italian and despite Juventus’ interest in him, Pellegrini wants to stay at Roma and he wants to uphold the promise he made to Francesco Totti when the veteran had retired. He had promised to play for the Giallorossi forever in his career.
