Roma boss Jose Mourinho has stated that the club must do everything to have Lorenzo Pellegrini available for the upcoming Derby Della Capitale.
Roma picked up a close 1-0 win over Udinese recently as Tammy Abraham scored in the first half for the Giallorossi. But Pellegrini, who’s made quite an impression this season, was sent off late in the game after picking up his second yellow card. This means that he’ll miss the game against Lazio.
Mourinho was talking to DAZN about Pellegrini’s absence against the Roman rivals and said: “I don’t know the legal mechanisms of Italian football, but I want to do it. If we can make him play, we must do everything to do it. I have so many doubts that anyone can say. it’s a well-deserved second yellow. Only one person but I can’t say he’ll play on Sunday.”
Roma have lost just once in all competitions and they came back to winning ways with the win over Udinese. They face Lazio on Sunday.
