Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini wants to replicate Giallorossi icons Daniele de Rossi and Francesco Totti and wants to follow in their footsteps.
This comes from Corriere dello Sport, who claim that there is no doubt that the Italian wants to extend his deal at the Giallorossi and while figures of a new deal haven’t been talked about yet, a broader discussion has certainly been made and it has been positive.
It has been stated that Pellegrini has felt the positive vibes from Jose Mourinho, who sees him as a central part of his side especially since Edin Dzeko is leaving and it would leave Pellegrini as the sole leader of the side.
Despite rumours, there is no doubt that the midfielder wants to continue at Roma throughout his career and Mourinho’s role has been crucial in making sure that a new contract is now close. He could sign a deal till the summer of 2026, the report claims.
