Adrien Rabiot on the FIFA World Cup: “Argentina are among the favourites, watch out for Holland”

France and Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot has stated that Argentina and the Netherlands are one of the favourites to win the FIFA World Cup.

Following injuries to Paul Pogba and Ngolo Kante, Rabiot earned a selection to the French national team especially considering his impressive form for Juventus. The Frenchman has been one of Juve’s best players this season, scoring a fair amount of goals from midfield for the Bianconeri.

The ex-PSG man recently gave an interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport and he spoke about a range of topics in that chat. One thing he was asked about was his views on the World Cup favourites.

The midfielder stated: “Argentina are among the favourites. Not only because it is Messi’s last World Cup, but because they’re a quality team with the right energy. And then, watch out for Holland.”

The Frenchman was also asked about how he is feeling ahead of the tournament and Rabiot revealed that he has never felt this good mentally and physically.

“[I prepared] By playing every game with Juve to the max potential, to get them back on the podium, without thinking too much about the World Cup. I think I’m at my best physically and mentally.”

Due to injuries to both Pogba and Kante, Rabiot could well start for Les Bleus, who start their World Cup campaign in a game against Australia on the 22nd of November.
