Agent of Juventus’ Morata set for new meeting with Atletico amidst Barcelona interest

The agent of Juventus striker Alvaro Morata is set to have a new meeting with Atletico Madrid to help the player join Barcelona.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that as things stand, it is unlikely that Morata joins Barcelona even though Xavi wants him and the player wants the move. That is because Atletico don’t want to loan out a player for 18 months to a direct rival.

Morata’s agent Juanma Lopez talked to Atleti today to unblock the operation but it wasn’t successful. He is still liked by Max Allegri, who would be happy to have him unless another club with lesser financial and relationship issues comes around and tries to sign Morata this month.

More will be known about the situation tomorrow, as that is when Morata’s agent Lopez talks to Atletico once again to potential unblock the deal and get Morata to join Barca.
